There comes a time when a good product review streak comes to an end. It’s seems, for us, that time is now.
We have had a few purchases of the MachO Double ring with no feedback until recently. About a week ago we had a customer purchase two of the rings only to fire us over issues they had with the product. Now, we would like to state that as much as we would like to test every product that’s added to our inventory it is basically impossible as we just don’t have that much time in a day, month, year. Therefore, we will add products to our store based upon the manufacturer’s reputation, in good faith, and until recently the manufacturer’s products were never questioned.
There are a few issues with this product as we found out when we finally tested it to insure the info we were receiving was correct. First, changing the batteries on this product is quite difficult. We tried to open the battery area and basically broke it. It’s not a very sturdy piece of plastic. We understand why it’s not supposed to be hard plastic BUT, take note of how your competitors manufacture a battery compartment and run with it! After all, they’re made for vibration and are supposed to slide into a jelly covering.
Second problem, (now keep in mind there are two vibration nodules) is that the first vibrating nodule worked sporadically – if at all. The second vibrating nodule didn’t work, period! This seems to be a common problem with this product as three other people complained about the exact same issue. We can only imagine how many others had the same issues who purchased this product from us but subsequently didn’t speak up.
The third and final issue is that if you are going to manufacture and sell a product, shouldn’t come with a warranty of some sort where the consumer can send the product to the manufacturer and receive a replacement? In all honesty, the retailer should not be responsible for a manufacturer defect. We are selling your product, an adult product at, where it’s quite difficult to accept returns. Add to that, the retailer should not be monetarily responsible for the company’s defective item (we have since replaced two of Nasstoys MachO Double ring at our expense). Again, make note how your competitors handle this situation with warranty info included in the packaging.
The bottom line is that every customer wants to get what they paid for and not have a problem with their item(s). Every retailer purchases and sells the manufacturer’s items based on good faith with the understanding that the product actually works. Until this product is manufactured to work correctly, we have no choice but to removed it from our store and inventory.
